Rolling/Shaping
To exactly meet your specifications all material is
rolled on our custom-made mills. We can produce wire
in flat, round, square, ½ round, oval, keystone
or intricate shapes for eyewire, temple wire or other
special cross sections. We also have separate mills
for flat wire with special tolerances and for wire with
intricate shapes.
Drawing
Our wire drawing machines produce round wire from .050”
to .287” in S/S, nickel, nickel alloys and copper base
alloys in dry, wet and grease finishes.
Annealing
We have four electronically controlled furnaces to restore
ductility and/or control softness to your specifications.
All alloys are moved through our furnaces at carefully
controlled temperatures and speeds suited exactly to
alloy and wire size.
Tooling
Our precision toolroom includes CNC milling and grinding
capabilities so that we can manufacture special tooling
machined and ground to your specifications.
Inventory
Northeastern always maintains a very large inventory
of wire in many alloys so that you can rely on us to
meet your most demanding delivery requirements.
Quality Control
To assure maintaining the highest quality throughout
the manufacturing process, all material is inspected
after every operation for specified size, hardness and
finish.

Order Processing
Northeastern utilizes computerized tracking and monitoring
every step of the way to be sure that your job is delivered
on time and to specifications.
Respooling
As You Like It
Most orders are processed in bulk throughout our rolling
mills. As a last operation your order will be respooled
to your requirements.
Finished,
Cut and Tempered Exactly For Your Application
Our products are known worldwide for consistency. That’s
why we check all material after every operation for
size, hardness and finish. Any alloy we manufacture
can be obtained dead soft to extra spring temper. Our
four special annealing furnaces are electronically controlled
for intermediate as well as bright finished anneal.
If you need lengths, we can furnish wire cut from 2
to 12 feet long.
